Normal items on the belt are: holster, OC spray case, handcuff case, flashlight case, baton ring, radio pouch, magazine pouch. There are various optional items which can be purchased at personal expense. |
| | Motorola MTP700 TETRA Digital Radio The Motorola MTP700 is a TETRA Digital Radio. TETRA is a recent innovation in business/government communications, it utilising the cellular telephone band frequencies to communicate in digital packets of data, allowing high-quality, interference free signals. The TETRA network allows users to communicate as a 'talkgroup' where all TETRA terminals can hear eachother as with traditional UHF/VHF radios. TETRA also allows 'Point-To-Point' calls between terminals. Each terminal is individually issued and numbered to correspond with the officers badge number. Therefore to communicate with a particular officer, the user simply keys in the badge number and hits the transmit button. The MTP700 also features a colour LCD display and dedicated emergency button, which opens the mike on a seperate emergency channel. |
| | Hiatt Handcuffs Chain-Link Handcuffs Two pairs of chain link handcuffs are issued to every police officer. One pair is generally carried in the officer's personal kit in case a pair is lost. All handcuffs have the same keys. |

| | Covert Holster Sierra Falls Police Department issue all officers with a Level III Retention (three independent levels of retention) covert holster, to enable the carriage of the personal issue sidearm whilst off duty or whilst on plain clothes duty. There are a variety available, and officers may purchase their own, provided they are tested by the SFPD Armorer prior to use. |

To begin with the cockpit of the car is modified so that the controls for the warning lights and sirens are in the centre console (once turned on the siren tone can be changed by tapping the horn). | | Motorola ML900 Mobile Data Terminal The Motorola ML900 is the laptop of choice of SFPD, this laptop, officially referred to as a mobile data terminal, when locked into the vehicle mount, is linked via radio to the Dispatch & Communications Center and is able to update incident logs, access Department of Motor Vehicle records for vehicles and individuals. The laptop is commonly used by officers for writing reports which can then be printed in their precinct via the radio-linked network. | |||

| | ProLaser Laser Speed Detector Both Highway Unit cruisers and Motorcycle Wing units are equipped with a ProLaser speed detection device. To operate:- ProLaser is aimed (using the reticle at the top) at a subject vehicle. The trigger is depressed which sends a laser at the target, the device then records the distance to the target every 1/100 second. After 2 seconds, an accurate speed of the vehicle is then calculated and displayed. This is then recorded on a memory chip in the device which can be downloaded for evidence later. |

| | Hooligan Bar The hooligan bar is a specialist method of entry prybar and glass-breaking tool, employed by SWAT to gain entry to outward opening doors, or through glass. The tool is useless on inward opening doors. |
| | Enforcer 35 lb Door Ram The Enforcer is a law enforcement designed, specialist method of entry door ram. This is utilised to open inward opening doors and is used by a single, trained, officer. It simply smashes the locks or knocks the hinges off. |

| | Canon EOS-1V / EOS-1D 35mm Film / Digital Camera The Canon EOS-1V (35mm film) and EOS-1D (digital) cameras are utilised by SFPD for Crime Scene Investigation use. Both come in metal cases with a variety of lenses, filters, flashes, etc. These are personal issue to each CSI. |

| | Canon XL2 DV8 High Quality Video Camera The Canon XL2 video camera is utilised by SFPD in a variety of roles. CSI are issued with a number of these as a department, if videos of crime scenes are required. In addition SWAT Evidence Gatherers are also issued with the XL2 to record incidents of public disorder for both evidential and training purposes. Surveillance units (Narcotics/Vice/DB) also have access to a number of video cameras and camcorders for evidence gathering purposes. |
